Shaving Tips …Secrets to Healhy Smooth Skin with no irritation!

Shaving tips are little secrets that men and women everywhere have been missing. These tips will ensure you keep your skin healthy and happy before, during, and after the shave.

Let’s face it, shaving is sometimes a huge pain…and if you are using the wrong razor this term can be taken quite literally!

Men and women alike are always on the look out for little shaving tips that can benefit them. For instance, women are always looking for ways to make their legs softer and more inviting to touch.

And even though the majority of them would never admit it, men are also curious about how to shave and keep the skin on their face as smooth as a baby’s bottom rather than as rough as sand paper.

Don’t believe common misconceptions…

Someone, who had a very sick sense of humor, made up a rumor that after you shave to prevent shaving bumps you must rub alcohol, or some other extremely irritating substance, on your skin.

This is NOT true… Let me stress this point again, this is NOT true.

Many men believe this, and use after shave as their irritant of choice. But, the after shave may be doing something other than burning unbelievably bad, it may be damaging and irritating your skin… this goes for women as well.

Even though I am always the first person to suggest natural products, there are some naturals that you should stay away from directly following shaving; they are peppermint, menthol, or citrus.

Basically if it burns, don’t use it!

Opt for some natural soothing skin products such as shea butter, aloe, or some other natural moisturizer, and always apply one after shaving.

Men only have to shave their face, what about shaving tips for legs, under arms, and bikini line??

When shaving ...men have one basic shaving area of concern; but, women are not so lucky, women have more than one shaving area to focus on …legs, under arms, and bikini line.

When shaving your bikini line you can get into some itchy, rashy, trouble if you’re not careful. Remember, no stinging irritants needed, most definitely not down there!

Shave legs, bikini line, and under arms with a nice moisturizing cream, lotion, or an all natural shaving formula. When shaving your bikini line be sure to watch out for ingrown hairs.

Also shaving your areas, all of them, in the shower can be beneficial. The warm water will soften the hair and make shaving easier on you and your skin.

And don’t forget the moisturizer when you are done.

Beware… a dull razor can be your enemy!

Shaving with a dull razor is the biggest no-no in skin care and shaving; this can lead to a vast array of problems from the dreaded razor burn, to cuts, and an uneven shave.

There are so many amazing razors to choose from now that are so technologically advanced that they can tell you when it is time to change the blade.

Exfoliating before shaving is essential to benefit from a sharp razor, as well as keeping it sharp. Dead skin cell clog up and dull the blade which can negatively affect your shave.

The Basic rules to shaving are…

Shave against the hair, opposite of the way it grows, this will allow for the closest shave.

Shave with warm water, preferably in the shower to soften skin.

Avoid those nasty irritants, they do not help, they hurt.

Exfoliate, and lubricate accordingly, and always, always offer skin post traumatic therapy, in other words sooth the skin after shaving.

If you follow all these shaving tips, your skin will thank you by glowing with a smooth radiance like never before!
