Puffy eyelids are a common problem that many individuals find themselves struggling with on a daily basis. There are several causes of puffy or swollen eyelids.

One of my major pet peeves is the statement, "I can sleep when I am dead."
Your body needs rest and plenty of it, at least 6-8 hours a night. More or less depending on your age and specific needs—your body will let you know.
Sleep will allow your body time to rest and recover—scheduled maintenance as it were.
When you deprive your body of sleep it shows, with puffy eyes and possibly even falling prey to illness.
Some tips and tricks to kicking puffy eyelids for good.
There are some very good serums on the market that can help you reduce the swelling.
However, there is some speculation that one very popular ingredient, retinol, can actually contribute to the swelling around the eye—although today this is just speculation.
Almost everyone will have a certain amount of puffiness in the eye area with aging, and this is simply a sign of the aging process. That doesn't mean you have to accept it.
If your eye puffiness is a result of one of the diet issues, allergies, or daily habits mentioned above the best treatment for will be prevention, in other words stop the agitating source of the problem.
Either way there are some extremely helpful things you can do to help reduce the swelling.
You can try cutting two slices of potatoes, or cucumber, place them in the freezer for a few minutes to chill and then place them on the eyes.
Another great home remedy is to get an eye mask that is full of gel and chill it. Place the mask on your face and relax for awhile with the mask in place.
Yet anther wonderful home remedy is tea bags. Wet the tea bags, squeeze the tea bags until there is no excess liquid, and cover each eye; sit or lie back and let the tea bags work their magic.
Any type of tea works, it is the caffeine in the tea that will draw down the puffiness.
