Healthy Skin Care ...a Necessity to Glowing Radiance!
Healthy skin care is so much more than washing your face! Taking care of your skin is essential to looking and feeling younger in your golden years.
As we age our skin changes DRAMTICALLY, and we must keep up with these ever changing conditions to keep our skin looking healthy and radiant.
Seriously do you think that Jane Seymour, a woman of a certain age and still beautiful as the day she turned 27, washes her face with harsh bar soap??
Let me answer that for you …NO! She has most likely been performing healthy skin care since she was 18… or 2.
What are these ever changing conditions?
The answer to this is basic, but you must always keep in mind that not everyone is the same, and some of these “normal” age appropriate skin changes may not apply to you.
Always remember your complexion, and skin aging is yours, it has not read the book on what it is suppose to do, so it doesn’t know.
Also, many internal disturbances can show up in the form of oily or dry skin which will alter the normal skin aging process.
The norm is in the teenage years the skin is generally oily due to hormones and poor diet choices, then we enter our twenties and the oil production slows down, as well as the high consumption of greasy fast food.
In our thirties our bodies stop producing the antioxidants that help us look and feel younger. So the skin will lose most if its oil and may even become dry. As well as lose some of the elasticity it use to have. This will show up in the form of fine lines and wrinkles.

Taking an anti-aging supplement can help replace these naturally decreasing numbers of anti-oxidants in your body.

When we enter our forties our skin becomes even drier because of the lack of oil, this can be even more extreme for pre-menopausal or menopausal women, and the elastin has diminished even further.
The fine lines and wrinkles you noticed in your thirties have now become more pronounced.
In our fifties the elastin that once allowed our skin to bounce back youthfully, has long gone, and been somewhat replaced by dry, sometimes sagging skin.
What exactly is Healthy Skin Care?
Healthy skin care begins with the use natural-to-the-skin products, and the cessation of harsh, drying, soaps and detergents. Bathing is meant to wash away the dirt and grime, not to completely strip your skin of all its natural oils.
If when you wash your body, you feel squeaky or extremely tight, then the soap you are using has dried your skin entirely too much.
Washing your body with these harsh soaps is bad enough, but washing your face with them is a major crime… that warrants an arrest by the skin care police!

Adding all natural bath oils to your bath water can moisturize your skin and leave you feeling silky smooth.

Any time you wash you should follow it up with a nice moisturizer natural based of course, and always, always use moisturizer on the facial area.
The right moisturizer natural based of course, should feel like a cream facial every time you use it. Now, who wouldn’t want a nice soothing cream facial?
Almost all skincare products have age specific regimens that are meant to deliver the exact amount of moisture you need.
However, remember what I said earlier, your skin has not read this web page, or the book this information came out of, so you go with what you feel. If your skin is still oily at 30 then continue using the 20s skin care products.
Fact is your skin is your skin, and you know what it needs if it is dry bump up the moisture, if it is oily change soap, or decrease the amount of moisturizer you use.
The Golden Rule to Healthy Skin care is…
Protect your skin and moisturize it accordingly! Be kind to your skin, take care of it, and it will show. But, most of all protect it from the harmful effects of the sun!
Wear sunscreen everyday, even in the dead middle of winter, if you are going out you need to have it on.
Healthy skin care takes only a few minutes each day, but the effects last a life time! Here is a toast to a healthy complexion, and a glowing radiance!
