Face Make up Tips
Face make up is a crucial part of a woman’s beauty regimen and it can make or break her whole look.
As simple as it may seem there are several ways that a woman can go wrong when applying face make up.
To achieve that flawless look you really have to know what you are doing, or else you could end up with poor skin and an odd looking complexion.
We have all seen this “odd complexion”…
You know the one I am talking about, the woman that looks like she was attacked by a vicious can of spray tan, or the one that looks deathly ill because her face is 5 shades lighter than her neck!
Or how about make up lines… Oh No! Not the hideous make up line.
Teenage girls are usually the reigning queens of make up lines mostly because they have not honed their cosmetic skill yet.
The good news is these make up fo-paux are not permanent, and we can easily fix them by first admitting that we need a little guidance in the cosmetic department.

When choosing a foundation, you always want to choose the one that disappears into your skin. The point is to blend into the skin not create a completely different color mask!

Makeup application how to…
I have seen countless women in the cosmetic isle do it, and you have probably done it yourself a time or too. So, let’s clear the air…
The skin on your hand is not the same color as the skin on your face, so don’t test your face makeup color here. Always, always test the color of your face make up on your jaw line.
This avoids any nasty make up lines because of mismatched color.
Also, don’t over do your make up and face powder to cover lines or wrinkles!
An over abundance of face make up can actually have the opposite effect and emphasize any flaw, especially lines and wrinkles. Not to mention the fact it just looks horrible!
Make up is meant to emphasize your beauty, not create a completely different person.
You should also be very weary of the all too popular “Mineral Make Up”.
mineral makeup can dry your skin and clog pores, not to mention the fact it makes the finest line appear as a full blown wrinkle and adds years to your appearance!

To get all over even coverage it is best to use some sort of make up sponge.

What about your specific skin type, what is your perfect make up and face balance?
Unfortunately, no one can tell you your perfect balance it is something you will have to figure out based on your specific skin type.
There are set base lines in the make up industry…oily skin, dry skin, combination skin ect.
However, this can be quite tricky because our skin can change with the seasons; drier in the winter and oily in the summer.
The best way to determine your perfect make up is by knowing your skin, and of course trial and error.
Is there really a difference in the cheaper make up products and the more expensive ones?
Yes, there is a huge difference! Cheaper products are made with low quality ingredients and “filler” products that are known to cause skin irritation (breakouts).
Choosing a good high quality face make up product will save your skin a lot of irritation and breakout, because after all every time you change products you chance an allergic reaction or extreme breakout.
But, if you start with a good product chances are there will be little to no changes made other than color, simply because good products use good high quality ingredients.
Not to mention the fact that low quality products can be very deceiving, the product is cheaper in price, and made with cheaper ingredients but it is thinner so it takes 3 times as much as the higher quality product.
So in all actuality the products are basically priced nearly the same.
And don’t forget… The normal rules apply to face makeup as regular everyday skin care.
Always remove your make up with a deep cleanser that removes oil based make up, this ensures that all make up residue is removed.
You would never paint on a dirty canvas, so don’t apply make up on a dirty face, doing so will give you a caked on look that will age you far beyond your actual years.
Also, starting fresh with a clean face will require less make up so you get more face make-up for your money, and beyond all that it is better for your skin!
Wash every night to remove face make up, tone, and moisturize accordingly. Repeat this process in the morning before applying make up and your skin will glow with a radiance that you won’t want to cover with foundation!
